Inside Scoop on the PGA Tour: Utah Championship, in Davis County

Utah’s only PGA Event

The Utah Championship will be held at Oakridge Country Club on July 12-15, 2018, with all four rounds broadcast live on Golf Channel. We’re proud to have this professional sporting event in Davis County. We invite the community to attend or get involved by volunteering! Find out all the details in this blog.

What is the Utah Championship?

The championship will consist of a field of 156 players competing for their PGA TOUR Card and the largest golf purse in Utah at $700,000. All of these players will be passionately playing to reach their PGA TOUR dreams. Three players of the 2017 alumni have already gone on to win a PGA TOUR Title: Brice Garnett (2017 Champion), Aaron Wise, and Andrew Landry.

This will be the second Utah Championship held at Oakridge Country Club, however the partnership between the Utah Sports Commission and the PGA TOUR extends 27 years.

“The Utah Championship has been one of our most popular tournaments for over 25 years and has done a fantastic job of creating a charitable and community-driven footprint in the greater Salt Lake City area,” said Tour President Dan Glod. “Each year, the Utah Sports Commission puts forth a tremendous week of tournament activities, and the Oakridge Country Club membership has embraced the Tour and our players. We are excited to keep building on this strong foundation in 2018 and beyond.”
